Inhale.
Only a few more months.
Exhale.
Oh, sorry. You caught me in the midst of my daily ritual:
Pep-talking myself into the mentality that I can make it to vacation.
It's not going well.
In the meantime, I thought I'd do a little update before I delve back into posts with a little meat.
- So -
* Friendcation 2.0 is coming along for this summer. 5 out of 8 friends can make it, and although I will greatly miss the three hold outs - don't worry, they're busy being amazing mommas and traveling other parts of the world :)
Look for upcoming post: Perfect Irish Itinerary.
* I went to a domestic Kygo concert (I know, that is super bougie-sounding, sue me).
It was amazing, though nothing can beat an open-air castle concert. Amirite?
I love everything about his music and I am definitely a fan for life.
Grandmas can rage, too!
literal footage of me at the concert ... different cup though
*I am obsessed with the British monarchy, hence the amazing introductory gif.
Also, I, like any good American, watched the royal wedding and literally cried for two reasons:
1. It was perfection.
2. Marcus Mumford is still with that lady and he looked super bored. I would have been a better royal wedding date. Is that even a fascinator on her head?
I'm just kidding, love you Carrie - in case she ever happens to read second rate blogs about nothing.
Gotta be careful.
... Oh, and because it should have been me on that altar. But whatever, my goddaughter is going to marry George, if he is lucky.
Ever since last last Saturday, I have been watching / rewatching The Crown and Googling as much as I can about any person that comes on screen. So why do you care? Well, let's say if you're ever on a trivia team and you find that you are requiring a specialist on the history of the British monarchs from King George IV on... I gotchu (it's only George then Lizzy, btw).
Another tidbit I also discovered about myself in my two week submersion into British culture, is that I have been misplacing my distaste of Queen Elizabeth. It's not her, guys! It's the crown.
And for that, I am sorry.
And yeah. That's been my life as of late.
Looking forward to having time to post regularly again!
