So you can casually immerse yourself in a different culture
So you can do the one thing that scares/excites you the most: to be in a place where no one cares.
...And not in a mean way, but simply: they do not care if you failed an astronomy course in college (who, me?), or if you had a horrendous break-up last year. They don't know you, so they don't care about any imperfection you may have been toting along with you back home
So you can dance with abandon
So you can meet strangers and become 7- hour BFFs or however long you have to be friends
So you can try authentic food, not just imitation grub
So you can try out that new camera
So you can see where you come from
So you expand your views beyond the perimeter of your town, state, country
So you can drive on the wrong side of the road (in certain locations, lol)
So you can see your favorite musician in their hometown
So you can try out that language you learned back in high school
So you can forget about work for a hot second and live like the rest of the world
where living comes first, and work is secondary.
So you can breathe in some fresh air ;)
